Learn how to set up integrations and add functionality in your Profi workspace with integrations.
In this article you’ll learn
The basics of using integrations in your Profi workspace including:
1. Overview of Integrations with Profi
Integrations are a connection between your Profi platform and another software or application. We use native and third-party integrations in the platform to expand on available functionality.
“Let’s pretend you want to plug your MacBook laptop into your TV using a connector cable so you can watch reruns of Friends on Netflix on the big screen. An integration kind of works like this — If your software is your laptop, you’ll use a connector cable, or integration, to then watch Friends on the TV, or application.”
2. Two Types of Profi Integrations
Native Profi Integrations
Native integrations are a connection with Profi and another application. They allow the features and functions of your Profi platform to “talk to” another software. Native connections generally do not require action on your end to work with the Profi platform. The process of setting up a native integration happens behind the scenes. You may not see any signs of a native integration.
Find information about the native integrations below.
Third-Party Integrations
Third-party integrations typically offer a one-way push of information from Profi to different software or applications. They generally require action on your end to set up the connection with Profi. There is often a “trigger” to prompt the one-way sharing of information. You may be able to see signs of a third- integration.
For example, the trigger “New Client in Program '' could prompt the push of information from Profi to different software, applications, or elements. This trigger means that when a new client enrolls in one of your program offerings, the integration will automatically prompt a one-way push of information from Profi to the other entity.
